This is a good project but could do with less auto tune based hooks to help showcase the actual rap side of things. The verses and features are all good but with the level of auto tune being used much higher than other Hip Hop projects, it holds this back and shows that this collective might not be able to make a good rap hook.
The production is excellent and flows well through the project. The beats are catchy while also letting the artists have space to rap and be heard clearly over them. However they ca become repetitive through the project unless your really focusing on the lyrics to hear the changes, but there is enough differentiation to know when the track changes.
The lyricism is there but is not used by everyone consistently throughout the project. While some of it is cleverly written, there are also parts that are pure streets and are based on delivery to make them come across as good bars. If there was more lyrical consistency through the project, it may be a more enjoyable listen.
The features all deliver good verses that keep the recurring artists on their toes, trying to compete for the better rap. Each feature may not be totally unique, with sharing another rappers style, but they are all enjoyable. With some lyrical improvement to help improve the amount of wordplay usage, the features could go from god to great.
Overall, this is a good project that is very enjoyable to listen to but may not be for the lyrical audiences. It has some great moments as well as bad but doesn’t vary enough to be the complete package for Hip Hop listeners.
