This is another of Waka’s projects that fits his formula very well and reaches further hieghts than his previous work. The crossover with his “Turn Up Godz Tour” mixtape help to really secure this as a good mixtape.
The production is really good and diverse, which helps to lead to more of a listening experiance that you wouldn’t mind listening to again. There are a lot of beats that seem similar but have enough differences to stop the music being the same. This combined with the higher tempo beats help make this a solid project.
The lyricism is alright and could be considered a step up for Waka Flocka Flame. The songs are littered with simpler wordplay that would not put him amoung the elite in the rap game, but is more than expected from Waka which helps make this project seem even better than if it was his everyday performance.
The features help to show that Waka can work well with a variety of other artists. Now while none of the guests are really out of his comfort zone, Waka has selected those he knows he has good chemistry with and this creates a lot of songs that would be much worse without them.
Overall, this is a good mixtape that has a great energetic feel and a surprising amount of entertainment value. In his work to keep his level of fame high but his street level credentials and realism, Waka has found a great balance and should be very happy with how it has ended up.
