This album has some good moments but a delivery that can become style with content that most rappers have explored can bring any project down. Gunplay has some high points, but needs to keep them rolling throughout the tracklist.
The production is good and is smooth to listen to. There are no bad points but there are some great ones that allow Gunplay to step up and show what he can do. A few beats that have a slightly more old school sound could show that Gunplay could be appealing across the generations, however he does show that he does well in this modern era.
The lyricism is good while not pushing the boundry of the mid tier. Gunplay does a good job upping his lyrical repetoire and adding more techniques on more tracks. However he still puts it across as above average rather than going into the elite catagory. A bit more in the way of frequency and complexity could improve the album, but Gunplay has done well to improve it this much.
The features do a great job of fleshing out the project further. Each brings in a good verse while pushing Gunplay to try harder. A singing guest or two could have been a nice addition to the set, however these people have done well to craft this.
Overall, this is an enjoyable album that shows growth for Gunplay and his prospects in the rap game. If he can continue on this path, he will have a long lasting career.
