Tinie Tempah – Junk Food Review

This project has a lot of good chemistry between Tempah and the other artists featured on it. While the songs may not be of the absolute highest quality, they are all entertaining.

The production is grimes with plenty of energy flowing through it to keep the music bouncing. Each of the beats is individual and gives each song more of a personality of its own. Maybe some more universally pop like tracks could help to give this project a higher profile but the intimate nature of this project helps give it more of an impact.

The lyricism is good with Tinie Tempah showing the skills that first brought him to the limelight. He uses a range of techniques to dot his raps with clever wordplay that makes this a very enjoyable listen. Some changes in flow could show more diversity but Tempah does well on this.

The features all help pull this project together. The guests all have good verses and the range of vocal depth really makes this cohesive and an impressive array of stars like this shows a lot of connections in the rap world. A few more singers could add another dimension but there is no problem with the selection here.

Overall, this project has a lot of good elements about it, if you enjoy this area of Grime. If you prefer the more mainstream vibe, then this might not hit the exact Mark.
