President T – Greatest To Ever Touch Down Review

This album shows that President T can have an effective verse but that the songs do not have great cohesion. While each song is somewhat enjoyable, as a listen through it completely falls down.

The production is packed with Grime features but there is not a lot of big energy moments to push it forward. Each beat has its time but they don’t flow through easily and make the project sound jarring. Maybe some smoother backings could helps to make this an easier listen, but President T has selected beats he is sure he is most effective over.

The lyricism is good with some complexity but not too much for it to go over people’s heads. His delivery is a major point here but his rhymes do add to the imagery and descriptive power somewhat. Some more complicated rhymes could help this out, but President T does a decent job on this.

The features help to make this more cohesive and show what connections President T has in grime. Each brings a good verse that helps fill out the track they are on. Some more singers could show more of a balanced guest list but President T has chosen well on this project.

Overall, this album may not be the best of the year, but it can still be entertaining to hear. It will be interesting to see where President T is going to take his career after this.
