This has a lot of similar elements to YG’s previous and critically acclaimed album, but that turns out to be its downfall. A lot of the tracks feel like rehashing of previous songs and while this may create a few gems, it takes the sheen off the album as a whole.
The production is good, but lacks the luster that made previous beat selections so incredible. Each backing is still good and does make a great atmosphere for the song. Moving forward, hopefully YG can choose beats that stray a little further out of his comfort zone to possibly drive him to push himself a little more.
The lyricism is not the cleverest or most versatile, but it is still entertaining. YG has a signature tone and flow that enhances the impact of his wordplay and helps to keep the song enjoyable. A few more attempts at sharper schemes and wordplay might open this up to a wider audience and while YG sticks to his formula, this is still not a bad performance from him.
The features all do well to show their own skills and add to the songs they are on. All put in good verses and help stop things from becoming stale, especially with YG staying well within what he already knows. A few more singers wouldn’t go amiss, but the guests on here are still a welcome addition.
Overall, this is not quite the album people were hoping for from YG, but it is not all bad. There are still flashes of an incredibly talented rapper in here that can hopefully come back to the forefront for whatever YG pursues next.
This release is full of big names and big tracks that make this a very entertaining listen. With DJ Khaled acting more like a on this album, only the best tracks make the cut, and this album proves it.
The production is varied but always interesting. Every beat is energetic and works very well with the artists chosen to work on it. There may be something for everyone, but most will appeal to any listener as they are all polished and work as a full listen through as well as individual songs.
The Features on here make this project such a success. All show great skill and have great chemistry with the other artists on the songs as well as DJ Khaled. It is possible that some guests further from his comfort zone may have made some more interesting moments, but DJ Khaled has chosen most of the biggest names in Hip Hop to be a part of this release, and they don’t disappoint.
Overall, this is great for those who want to stick on an album and not use the skip button at all, leaving it to play through. DJ Khaled continues to have enormous success with his albums, but it should be noted that it is mostly down to other artists work. Not to take from Khaled’s ability to bring artists together, but most of the entertainment value is down to the features and not him shouting out during the project.
This is an energetic release reminiscent of the first Ransom project, but there is a certain amount of formula that is clear in each of the tracks. While the production from Mike WiLL is fantastic, what each artists does with it all seems to lead down the same path, with a few exceptions.
The production is phenomenal, with Mike WiLL creating trap beats that may seem similar, but all have different aspects that makes each individual. In a few cases it seems like there is a base guideline rather than an organic blooming to his creative process, but it still yields some great results. Maybe seeing what he can do outside the trap sub-genre could be an interesting challenge for the producer.
The features on this project are exactly what you would expect to find on songs from a producer as big as Mike WiLL. A stream of A-List rappers as well as fresh up-and-comers helps show a great level of respect for the producer here. It is a shame that so many come from the same vein of writing and delivery, but individually, they all still have good performances.
Overall, this is another release from an exceptional producer that proves he deserves the money and respect he is given. Only time will tell if he will attempt to branch out and attempt to work with a wider pool of talent.
This album had high hopes, but falls flat a lot more than it soars. Some tracks come across as cohesive genius whereas others seem more like formulaic noise to try and bring in more listeners who are not Hip Hop educated.
The production is good in places and great in others. There is a lot of energy running through the project but in a lot of places the elements in the tracks become more merged together into background noise rather than being effectively tools. Maybe some more beats with less happening in them would open up more space for the artists.

This album is great to listen through and does not have many jarring moments that ruin the experiance. Puff has crafted an album that proves he can still make music that people will enjoy.
The production has a big enough range to show Puff can work with a variety of tracks as well as different atmospheres. Each song is individual while being cohesive with the overall project. A few slower songs could show that Puff has a tighter grip on his emotions, but the project does not actually need it.
The lyricism may not be the most complex but it does help tell the story as well as show Puff’s skills on the mic. He shows that he can still hang with some of the best even if he is not considered one of them. Some more creative bars could have helped the project but may have ruined the delivery part of Piff’s display.
The features all do a good job of pushing Puff to his best performances while putting thier own strengths forward. Each puts a lot of pasison into thier verses to help bolster thier individual performances and help the tracks to be more cohesive. Some more singing guests could have a bolstering effect on the songs, but that would defeat the purpose of Puff Daddy and the Family.
Overall, this is a great album for putting on and kicking back to as well as partying around to. Puff can still create music that the public wants to hear.
This album is good if you like the highly energized rap music that pumps out of mainstream radio these days. If you prefer something deeper or more lyrical, there are other options out there for you.

The features are also good as they help bring the variation to the project that Big Sean fails to bring. Eaxch is different to Sean in either style or delivery. Even a change in pitch or vocal tone helps to make the album more enjoyable overall.
Overall, this is an enjoyable project due to the energy and lyricism involved but the lack of forward moving when it comes to Sean’s performance holds this album back. While this can be a problem, the general project is very good and of very high quality, to be enjoyed by almost any fan of Hip Hop.
This is a complete party album with a touch of feelings thrown in for good measure. There are a lot of energetic tracks to get the blood going with the ocassional thought about consequences thrown in for good measure.
The production is good as Mike-Will Made It is behind a lot of it. His signature style plays well with the artists delivery and flow which helps to make each song individually good as well as the project overall. The sounds on each track are signature to Mike-Will made it and help to make this a more focused effort on the production side of things.
The lyricism is not great but with the energy put in and the performance put in, helps to make these good songs. While there is some lyricism present on these tracks, the duo don’t put in too much lyricism to make these tracks appealing. These songs are mostly aimed at the club goers and head bangers and it targets that audience beautifully.
The features are good and help give some extra depth to the album while also showing that Rae Sremmund have some music industry connections. The featured artists give great verses that, in a lyrical sense, show up Rae Sremmurd. However the tracks are very enjoyable to listen to.
Overall, this is a good project for Rae Sremmurd to get their name recognised and to help in the resurgence of duos and groups. With the team around them, and the energy they put into their tracks. they have a chance to go very far in the Hip Hop world.
from a production point of view, this is a good mixtape, but the combination of featured artists and its tending for the tracks to lack any real flare. The artists lack the touch that makes each track want to be listened to and instead there is a string of mediocre songs that make up a majority of a twenty track project.
The production is fantastic and is the best part of the project. As Mike is a producer then this is a great point and the standard doesn’t drop below very good. The beats also have a signature sound that helps Mike stand out against other producers. However with the features on the tracks don’t totally do justice to the quality of the production.
The features are alright overall, but some are clearly not as good as some others. The more high calibre features do very well crafting superior tracks that have great energy and atmosphere. Unfortunately these are few and far between and there are more tracks to play through than to get excited by. This cuases a boring listen for anyone interested in lyricism and Mike may need to be a bit more careful of who he lets on his projects.
Overall, this has a few good tracks but has a lot of other tracks to shift through before you can pick them out. If the project had been cut a bit shorter and been more cohesive then it would have been a better mixtape. As it stands it is too long and too much hard work.
