This release shows that despite any health issues, Freeway can still make quality music. He has kept everything that made him a great rapper and improves upon any weaknesses he may have had.
The production is amazing, with some classic offerings blending in with some more modern beats. Each backing accurately reflects the content and message of the lyrics and helps build a cohesive and fluid listening experience. Maybe a few more times on more pop beats will help Freeway be a little more comfortable on the tracks, since he doesn’t sound perfectly at home, but this is still a great selection here.
The lyricism is fantastic with Freeway utilizing his strong delivery to help the impact of his rhymes. There is strong wordplay that really helps with the descriptive aspect of the project. There are no issues with Freeway’s performance here as he even plays a little with his flow.
The features are, on paper, strong choices. However while some pull of great performances and show how clever their rhymes can be, others let the opportunity slide and give less than average verses. Hopefully Freeway will take this experience and not play to what he thinks the audience will enjoy, and make what he thinks is great music.
Overall, this is a great release from a veteran of the rap game. Moving forward, hopefully he can continue to have output like this and make records for real hip hop heads to enjoy.
The title aptly prepares the listeners for the tracks on this release. Big Scoob is a man of two extremes with gritty street tracks and much softer tracks , but with no middle ground on the spectrum.
The production is fantastic with a lot of variation in atmosphere, depending on how he is trying to come across on that song. The aggression is clear when it needs to be as well as things getting more emotional as Scoob needs it to. Maybe something a little more radio ready while having a tough edge would give Scoob more exposure, but he does well over these beats.
The lyricism is great, with the fast pace helping to show how talented Scoob is. He uses wordplay and alliteration especially well and his tone giving his delivery an extra edge. There is also good variation with flow and some light attempts at singing to help give another dimension to Big Scoob.
The features all do a great job of adding their own skills to the project. Some help lend their talents to the hooks with their singing while others lend even more authenticity to the album. There are no issues with the guest selection here as all they do is build on this album.
Overall, this is a top release from a talented artist. Big Scoob has done very well crafting this and can hopefully capitalise off this and get more of the recognition that he deserves.

The production is varied but always interesting. Every beat is energetic and works very well with the artists chosen to work on it. There may be something for everyone, but most will appeal to any listener as they are all polished and work as a full listen through as well as individual songs.
The Features on here make this project such a success. All show great skill and have great chemistry with the other artists on the songs as well as DJ Khaled. It is possible that some guests further from his comfort zone may have made some more interesting moments, but DJ Khaled has chosen most of the biggest names in Hip Hop to be a part of this release, and they don’t disappoint.
Overall, this is great for those who want to stick on an album and not use the skip button at all, leaving it to play through. DJ Khaled continues to have enormous success with his albums, but it should be noted that it is mostly down to other artists work. Not to take from Khaled’s ability to bring artists together, but most of the entertainment value is down to the features and not him shouting out during the project.
This album had high hopes, but falls flat a lot more than it soars. Some tracks come across as cohesive genius whereas others seem more like formulaic noise to try and bring in more listeners who are not Hip Hop educated.

There is a lot of energy running through the project but in a lot of places the elements in the tracks become more merged together into background noise rather than being effectively tools. Maybe some more beats with less happening in them would open up more space for the artists.

This album is ruined by all the references to how successful he currently feels he is. However the arrogance displayed does not reflect his position in Hip Hop and this project may well have brought him down a stage.
The production is good and opens a variety of avenues for song content. Troy does try his hand at a variety of track types, but doesnt get into the groove of each beat to make the connections cohesive. While variety is good, he needs to limit it down to a beat selection he really gels with.

Troy Ave does have some good things wrapped into his rhymes but the delivery and obsession with wealth take away from what could be some great songs. Troy needs to look into some new things to rap about if he wants to be an actual success.

All of them put in good effort and, while some do better than others, each shows they can be big in Hip Hop. Some features that dont fit the rap profile so much could have expanded the audiance for this project, but the guests on this are a good selection.
Overall, this could have been an enjoyable album but Troy Ave does not seem to care about how good the songs are as long as he can rap about money. He has a lot of work to do.
