This is an amazingly complete release that somehow doesn’t quite gel together as smoothly as it feels it should. T.I. explores a lot of different things in this album, from how he cultivated the trap sub-genre to how his mistakes have led to a lot of problems in his personal life, that together create a complete picture of the man we know.
The production is great and does compliment the message on each song. Individually, the beats all work, but when you put them together as a full album listen to, they can come across as a bit choppy and it can make listening through the whole thing a small challenge. On the other hand, a lot of listeners will simply pick out their favorites, as is the current trend, so this is not a huge disadvantage.
The lyricism is good, with a lot of uptempo rhyming to help keep energy levels up. However, when on an emotional track, T.I. bears his soul to show his side of the story and show that he knows he is a human being and that he makes mistakes. However you slice it, his performance here is phenomenal.
The features do a great job of accentuating the song they are on as well as showing their own talent. There is a real combination of tough street efforts on top of softer singers to add an extra dimension to the project. The guest selection is excellent and are only additions to this album.
Overall, this is a strong album with a lot of strong performances. T.I. continues to be a staple in hip hop and will continue to be, while hopefully having less drama.

Maybe a few more softer offerings could make this feel a little more complete for some, but this is still a great listen when it comes to the production.

This is a release that is the definition of just okay. There are some good things about it but it has too many pitfalls to shine out.
The production is interesting as there is a lot of experimentation in the beats. However it doesn’t break any ground and a lot of them are overbearing in comparison the the rhymes. There are too many backings here that are too far from what people are aiming to hear that there are a lot of missable tracks.
The lyricism is good but there is not enough smart wordplay for it to bring this project out of the mud. What Rocky says entertaining, but his performance gets lost as his delivery is overpowered by the production. This needed stronger delivery to have pretty much any impact on the listener.
The features all do a good job of putting across their skills and are the highlights of these songs. All of their contributions are the highlights of the tracks they are on as well as the best thing about this album. Hopefully Rocky can take lessons from them and improve his own efforts.

This album shows that DJ Drama can still put together a great project after all his years in Hip Hop. While he is more of a curator than a performer, he shows he has connections and puts together exactly what the title describes.
The production is energetic while creating the atmosphere the track needs. Each is individual while bring cohesive with the overall listen through. When you listen through the whole thing, it does seem formulaic on first listen, but each backing is crafted well and will appeal to the listener.
The features really help to make this project as they are the main focus of all the songs. All put in good effort and on each track, the guests work well together as DJ Drama knew they would. He picks a few veterans as well as a great selection of up and comers to show their skills and flesh out the tracks. Maybe some artists further from what Drama already knows could make some moments further from the formula, but he knows what works and works it well.
Overall, this is a great playlist for songs for the street. DJ Drama has put this together very well and will hopefully go on to cultivate new talent as he has been.
This is a great album for that signiture southern sound as well as the content Pimp C is known for. May he rest in peace knowing this album is enjoyable and entertaining.
The production is full of the deep south and there are no complications about it wanting to sound otherwise. The beats all have that bounce to give it that energy that Pimp C thrives off of while not sounding similar and still sounding diverse. There are no issues with the selection on here as it only brings strength to this project.
The lyricism may not be complex but the delivery and performance is amazing which really boosts the songs. The humour and unique content perspective really help give this a unique edge that makes it stand out against the other projects releasing at the same time. The rhymes on this are definately only a good thing for the rap game.

This album is a deeper cut than the last installment of this series, leading to a closer connection to the rapper. Skeme shows that he can express his feelings as well as his desires on a song and with a fresh tone in his voice.
The production is varied with more sombre offerings than you would normally find. The beats tend to be more mellow and less aggresive which helps to show a newer side of Skeme with his content. Maybe a few more pumped up beats could have balanced the project out a bit more, but the new side of Skeme does a great job of filling any space that the listener finds.
The lyricism is good with the different techniques accentuating the story telling aspect of the songs. Skeme is not quite as complex as he has been on previous efforts but with the content being so centred on his own personal adventures it is best he focused on how those affected him and getting that point across. He has chosen his words well that there are no real problems with the rhyme side of things.
The features do a great job of having a point of comparison to Skemes own writing. Each has a good effort and thier verses do a fantastic job of making each song very cohesive as well as pushing Skeme to new areas of rap. maybe some singing guests could have shown another dimension of Skeme, but he has chosen those who would work well on this album.
Overall, this album is great if you like Skeme and wanted to delve deeper into his psyche. If this is your intro to Skeme, then this is an introduction that will stick with you for the personal connection.
