This album is a great balance of street content but with more of a refined sound. Sheep Louch has grown musically and it shows on this project.
The production is good with the raw power of street music but with the more refined radio sound that makes this easy to listen to. The beats are all cohesive and follow through well without blending well together. There are no problems with the selection of backings for this album.
The lyricism is good with Sheek using different techniques without a rapid pace to show that bars still exist in Hip Hop. The variation in his rhymes help give his lyrics an edge and make the songs more enjoyable. A few changes of flow could show a willingness to try new things but he knows what works well and does that fantastically.

This album is what the title describes. All the tracks have truth in them and Trae does a good job putting his passion into the rhymes.

Some more higher energy tracks could have balanced it out slightly more, however that would not be in the spirit of the emotional sharing.

His unique tone makes Trae easily discernible to the listener while his rhymes have enough power behind them to sink in and make you think. Some more complex techniques could entice more of an audiance, however that is not the aim of this project. Trae has selected his audiance and plays directly to them.

This is a good mixtape to show that BH rocks the west coast as well as any other. The old sounding west coast beats combined with BH’s relaxed flow and kaidance combine to make a great project that is reminiscent of YG with a G-Funk twist.

This is another good mixtape from another great up and comer. Nipsey Hussle has spent the last year learning from his “Crenshaw” release and has put together another project with the same amount of promise.
The production is good and provide a good canvas for Nipsey to rap over, but it could do with more ups and downs. While the beats are good it is mostly of one tone and can become dull. If it switched up during the play through, it would make each song more enticing to listen to. However they are still enjoyable songs.
The lyricism is good and is present on every track. Nipsey demonstrates a good understanding of the formula to make a successful song and uses a lot of rap techniques for his words to be appealing to the Hip Hop audience who enjoy wordplay. The main issue is Nipsey’s inability to change up his own flow. With some pitch or tempo changes he would be a great rapper instead of a good rapper.

Zuse has very distinct voice and dialect, but this doesn’t mean he can be extremely repetitive and call it entertainment. While he does have good verses, the chorus’ are long and very repetitive which drags the song down, despite them being very catchy.
The production is good but very limited in its range of tones which can make it difficult to really understand Zuse as he has very low vocal tones aswell. The project is full of dark, resounding bass and creates an almost throbbing backing for Zuse to rap over. This makes a very specific range of enjoyability for the audience.
The lyricism is alright in the verses but the hooks are very simple and repetitive which, while they are catchy, can create a boring track overall. Zuse does have some wordplay and other lyrical techniques but the hooks disappointment far outweigh the verses greatness.
The features are good, especially T.I, and they help to bring more diversity to the project. Zuse can be difficult to listen to for a full length project but with the features, it helps break up the monotony and makes a much better listening experience.

This is a diverse album, but it may not connect with everyone as a cohesive project. There are tracks for trapping, radio tracks, tracks for women and tracks for driving to, however all together they don’t entirely blend. It does follow the idea of a film, as there is a song on there for pretty much any scene that could come up, but even as a soundtrack it doesn’t exactly flow all the way through.
The lyricism is good on each track and helps to lend to the descriptive nature of the film it was partly designed to be. T.I is still sharp and plays effortlessly on every track. However on some tracks the backing is slightly overwhelming for his voice and can make him fade into the background instead of at the forefront where he should be.

All of the featured artists help to add to the diverse nature of the tracks since they help break from just hearing T.I for the length of the project.
Overall, this is a good album for T.I as it shows that he is still lyrically sharp and that he is still culturally relevant, while being able to appeal to all listeners of the Hip Hop genre. However the project needs more of a theme or story to tie it all together, to make a great album and not just a great collection of tracks.
